A quick process I devised for descriptive writing in 3 simple stages –
- What do you think the object is? –
- Describe it as effectively as you can e.g. colour, shape etc?
- Write down in a sentence/paragraph form what images this object creates in your mind – Does it remind you of anything else other than what you thought it actually was in question 1?
